TMI Law, Ethics and Society Discussion Group - Monday 5 March - Campbell Murdoch - The Law, Leveson and Liberty
Allegations of phone hacking, police corruption and inappropriate political relationships have led to a close examination of the core of society. Most commentators appear to desire an end to corruption, and a renewal of our ethical and professional standards. This paper will attempt to bring some clarity to the present situation. Beginning with a re-evaluation of natural law, it will suggest a road of travel that may enable the law, and the Leveson inquiry, to safeguard liberty at the heart of the nation state.
Campbell Murdoch graduated from Caledonian University in Glasgow with a BA (Hons) in political science and economics; and from Loch Haven University of Pennsylvania with a diploma in international relations. He has held executive positions with News International and the Mirror Group before going into business consulting. He has stood for election to Parliament twice.
